Baronial Officer Vacancies

We are now seeking applications for the below positions – some are being readvertised having not received any applications.

Chronicler-Webwright Officer

Greetings!

Start spreading the news! We need a new Chronicler-Webwright for Stormhold.

Could that be a worthy position for your skills and interests?

Please note: these roles are advertised together, but the Chronicler role can be applied for as standalone. If you are interested in becoming Chronicler but would rather not be Webwright, please specify in your application.

Key requirements:

* You will need to be a current SCA member, 18 years or older

* Reliable and responsive access to email and internet connection

* Familiarity with and access to design/editing software,
as used by Stormhold (training can be provided)

* (Webwright only) Capabilities in Website page creation, HTML, graphics manipulation, associated site management, associated computer/email support and a good sense for both accretion and rapid turnaround of useful information – it’s the most important part of the job!

* A strong emphasis on keeping current, maintaining and preserving and
expanding existing content, rather than radical redesign or retirement
of existing resources

* Ability to keep on top of a variety of related administrative tasks

You may not think that you are the right person for this job, but if your
friends forward you a copy of this notice, pay attention to them! And if you
know someone who you think would be good in the job, do them (and all of us)
a favour – ask them to apply.

Key elements of the job:

* Collating and conveying important and relevant information to the people of
Stormhold via the group’s publication channel

* Liaising with the Kingdom Chronicler in relation to relevant Kingdom
or Society-level information and updates

* (Webwright) typically monthly updating of websites, especially group calendars,
events and other notices and other timely material, removing outdated
material while preserving important resources and historical information.

* Reporting to or attending group meetings.

* (Webwright) Notifications to mailing lists, checking lists for notices or comments
and adding to online calendars or to special pages.

* (Webwright) Mailing list moderation: mostly deleting spam and occasionally assisting
subscribers.

* (Webwright) Active monitoring of local discussion and announcement lists is essential, other lists and relevant social media very desirable. Twice-annual
checking/reporting of page visit statistics and numbers subscribed to local email lists is desirable.

* (Webwright) Advising and assisting Webwrights for sub-groups as required.
