Mitten, Peter <Peter.Mitten@yarracity.vic.gov.au>
Dear Yarra Sports Clubs,
As you may be aware Council is working on a project to better understand how female participation in sport in Yarra is tracking.
One of the pieces of information we are looking for to help get a picture of this is on the composition of club committees.
I would really appreciate if every club could send me through a current list of the club committee members names and position on the committee by the 24th of June 2016.
To help get this information, all clubs who do respond will go into a draw to win a $50 Gift Voucher from Rebel Sports.

Correspondences Item 2
First and foremost, thank you to everyone who responded to the survey I put out – as with my previous messages, I’m sending this to the members whose email addresses are in the registry, so if you know a non-member who voted, please thank them for me. I’m not allowed to send emails to all the non-members in Melbourne, there are laws about spam…. And if you know a member who thinks they should have received this email and didn’t, please ask them to check their email address and postal address in the registry.
The end result, as I mentioned in my last email when the survey closed, was that we got a pretty reasonable response rate (around about half of everyone polled, but the exact number is fuzzy because of the aforementioned non-member responses). Of the people who responded, the overwhelming majority are already playing with the group that their postcode was assigned to. There were a small number of postcodes beside the existing border line, from whom we got enough responses to show a majority or people living there are actually associating most with the other group from the one we currently count them against.
So I have taken that list of postcodes and had them checked over by my Cartography Deputy, to make sure it is technically possible to move them without creating a pocket of one group inside the other. I have also checked with the Barons, Baronesses and Seneschals of Stormhold and Krae Glas to make sure that shifting those postcodes won’t have any unintended consequences (such as making the Baron of Stormhold a citizen of Krae Glas, or vice versa). There don’t seem to be any such problems.
Therefore I will be making the following changes to our records:
Postcodes 3128-3137 and 3152-3155 will be moving from Stormhold to Krae Glas (that list actually contains several postcodes that have no members in them, but it creates a clean block)
Postcode 3192 will move from Krae Glas to Stormhold.
To repeat something I have said several times – this move is intended to make the registry reflect your activity, it is NOT in any way intended to affect who you hang out with. Thank you once again for your time. As always, if you have any questions or comments about the polling process, I will be happy to hear them.
Yours in service,
